Spiritual direction is a dedicated  meeting with a companion to explore and reflect on matters of faith, spirituality and the heart and to ponder how these can be integrated into our daily lives.

Spiritual directors are people with skills in reflective listening, trained to help you reflect more deeply about your faith journey and on your relationship with the Divine. We’re not in the business of offering easy answers, promising to solve all your problems  or telling you ‘what to do.’ Nor are we counsellors or therapists. But we can be alongside you as you grow in awareness of  the life-giving sense of the Spirit and encourage you to respond to that invitation with a growing sense of freedom.

You may be thinking:

  • What’s happening in my life?
  •   I feel ‘stuck.’ Why?
  • Who am I, now that I’m retired/ out of a job/kids have left home?
  • How can I pray?
  •   I think something’s nudging me to change track; I’d love to speak to somebody about it.

Spiritual direction offers a  safe and confidential space outside of my usual circle, where  I can explore everyday concerns as well as the big questions, in the context of my faith journey . My own experience of this  been one of the greatest gifts I’ve received these past 20 years and  has led me in turn to train for and offer this ministry myself.

Interested? How do I find a spiritual director?

The Retreat Association, (UK based), offers a wide range of resources, including information on finding a spiritual guide. (Another name for director or accompanist)

The London Centre for Spiritual Direction holds details of accompanists based largely in London and the South of the UK, offering direction both in person and online.

Spiritual Directors International, a global, interfaith movement, offers a ‘Seek and Find’ guide, listing spiritual directors from all over the world.

Contact Me. I offer spiritual direction at my home in England, UK,* from  the Centre for Spiritual Direction in the City of London and via Skype, Facetime and Whatsaap. If you’d like to know more or feel we might be able to work together, do feel free to get in touch.
