I write poems. Some of them are polished, some are a bit raw, and a handful were written while staring blankly at a coffee cup in Costas. I share them here not as a literary performance, but as an open invitation to join me. Let’s write together.
Writing your feelings down can feel incredibly intimidating, but it doesn’t need to be. Ok, realistically, few of us are ever going to make it as Poet Laureate, still, does that really matter? Thus spake the woman who once sent a ballad about the Great Paddington Bear. (Can you sink much lower?) to her local newspaper. And no, they didn’t publish it, the miserable so and so’s. Poets come in all shapes and sizes as I hinted here in the NaPoWriMo poetry challenge 2022. What is a Poet? Your voice is unique and deserves to be heard.
