NaPoWriMo Day Two: Surrealism

I found this a real challenge: to write a surrealist piece based on my answers to questions sparked by my responses to a random selection of words. I’m still not sure what it’s all about. The words were:

Owl

Mercurial

salt

seaweed

cheese

longing

truffle

song

elusive

miracle

Sea salt;
a barometer on a clear night.
Fly me to the moon,
(Cheddar and Cheshire),
as the invisible melody
spells freedom and birth.
I do.
As wise as an old woman.
