Yesterday’s effort, in response to the prompt to write a poem beginning with a command. I can’t believe that we’re two-thirds of the way through the challenge already; it’s been great, despite the tongue-in-cheek sentiments in my limerick below. Keep going, all you poets and aspiring poets out there!
Don’t write poems on days when you’re bored, To crack nuts with your teeth is deplored. When the Muse it deserts you, Think patience a virtue, Lo! Artistic flair is restored.
