…and we’re off. Day One on NaPoWriMo2022. I’m not using today’s optional prompt: The Body; instead, let’s celebrate all things Spring with a ‘found’ poem inspired by Abel and Cole, the great folk who work their socks off all year round to bring us our marvellous fruit and veg boxes. Their ’Spring Celebrations’ leaflet is chock full of tasty treats, recipes, stories about the people they work with and of course, plenty of inspiration for would-be poets.
So, here’s ’Jump into Spring.’ I hope you enjoy it.
Jump into Spring Jump into Spring. Pile your plate high with: brash daffs bold tulips cotton wool lambs and happy bees; hums spilling over into a real bouquet of nectar. Springtime Celebrations; Finish off in style: Raise a glass of organic fizz. “ You can taste that clean grassy freshness!” Jump into Spring; a perfect time to sow seeds.
