Shepherds
Sprawled in dreams
on distant hills,
shielding flocks
from dark dusk chill.
Star-burst sparks
sprayed them with light,
tearing rents
through bounds of night.
Wild angel praises
burst from high.
Impassioned message
blazed the sky,
Two thousand years;
the Shepherd still
shields his flock
from dark dusk chill.
